Former Officials Protest U.S. Plan to Defund Pan American Health Organization

Former U.S. officials are speaking out against a plan to cut funding for the Pan American Health Organization. They say the move would harm public health efforts across the Americas. The United States currently owes PAHO almost $135 million in unpaid fees. Protesters argue that paying what is owed is more important than defunding the group.
