49ers star wide receiver Ricky Pearsall out for the season, to undergo surgery on knee in crushing blow

Ricky Pearsall, a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, will miss the rest of the season. He needs surgery on his right knee to fix a torn posterior cruciate ligament (PCL). The injury was found after swelling appeared during two training‑camp practices. Pearsall was a first‑round pick in 2024 and has shown promise but has had trouble staying healthy.
