I Flew in the Douglas DC-3, a WWII Workhorse of Aviation, Over the Amazon

The writer took a flight on a Douglas DC-3 airplane over the Amazon rainforest. The DC-3 was built in large numbers during World War II and is known as a reliable workhorse. Today, only a few of these planes are still flying, and one operates in Colombia’s jungle. It carries passengers to remote areas where other transport is hard to find.
