At least 67 people died while trying to cross from Morocco into the Spanish city of Ceuta. Some drowned in the sea and others were killed in a stampede on a breakwater. Tens of thousands of migrants attempted the crossing, and many have since returned to Morocco. The Spanish government said it will build a fence or sea barrier to stop more crossings.
