<p>A man and woman were fatally shot Monday evening near a gas station in Armour Square, according to Chicago police.</p><p>The man, 25, and woman, 22, were exiting a business in the 200 block of West Pershing Road just before 6:30 p.m. when three people in a silver Nissan car approached them, took out firearms and began shooting, police said in a statement.</p><p>The man suffered 12 gunshot wounds and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.</p><p>The woman suffered six gunshot wounds and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.</p><p>The shooters got back in the car and were last seen driving eastbound, police said.
