Chelan County commissioners requested state funds to repair a key Stehekin route in a letter to Gov. The county expressed urgency to complete repairs on Company Creek Road before October rainfall, both in the letter and at an Aug. 11 Tri-Commission meeting. The time crunch to repair Company Creek Road, which is owned and managed by the National Park Service, is to “get ahead of flooding,” county Natural Resources Director Mike Kaputa said at the meeting for Chelan County, Chelan County PUD, Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority and other Chelan County officials.
