Days later, her family struggles with her sudden death as they try to plan her funeral. </p><p>"I feel dead inside," Christina Dennis, Ford's mom, told the Sun-Times Wednesday morning. "We never experienced nothing like this."</p><p>Ford and Tanisha Dennis, her aunt, were walking in the southbound lanes of Illinois 394 at Joe Orr Road shortly after midnight Monday because their car ran out of gas, authorities and family said.
