Witnesses called 911 to report a shooting on the 1800 block of Ocean Front Walk, with police arriving to scene around 11:13 p.m., according to the LAPD. The man was discovered “down in the sand” just south of Lifeguard Tower 19, not far from Muscle Beach and the Venice Beach basketball courts, KTLA reported. Images showed law enforcement on the sand surrounding the body, which was covered by a white sheet, as bright light illuminated the scene.
