Care and Feeding is Slate’s parenting advice column. Have a question for Care and Feeding? I (an adult) just started taking martial arts classes, and I’m uncomfortable with the way the instructor treats one of the other students. It’s a mixed teen/adult class, and one of the teenagers, “Chris,” regularly gets singled out in a way that seems really wrong to me.
