More than 10,000 jobs could be on the chopping block if a proposed mega-merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. goes through — potentially dealing a major blow to Los Angeles’ entertainment economy. The proposed deal between the two Hollywood giants could put 10,360 jobs and $4.06 billion in business output at risk, according to a new report from the Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity. “If the merger goes through, about 4,500 film and TV jobs in Los Angeles County could be lost over the three-year period,” the report states.
