<p>A man shot on the city's West Side in June died earlier this week from the wound, officials said. </p><p>A Monday autopsy determined David Allen, 55, died of complications of a gunshot wound and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. </p><p>Allen was in the 3400 block of West Van Buren Street when someone shot him on June 16, according to the medical examiner's office. </p><p>Allen, of the 6000 block of South Stony Island Avenue, was taken to the University of Illinois Hospital, where he died Sunday at 1:33 a.m., the medical examiner's office said.
