<p>A Chicago man was charged with fatally stabbing a woman Tuesday in a Little Village apartment. </p><p>David Wilcox, 59, was arrested minutes after the attack and charged with first degree murder, Chicago police said. </p><p>Officers found Wilcox and the woman when they responded to a <a class="Link" href="https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/08/19/woman-killed-man-seriously-injured-in-south-lawndale-stabbing" target="_blank" >report of a person stabbed</a> around 11:35 p.m. in the 2500 block of South Christiana Avenue., police said.</p><p>The 61-year-old woman, who hasn’t yet been identified, suffered multiple puncture wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.</p><p>At least one steak knife was recovered at the scene, according to a police report, which also stated that the man attacked the woman before stabbing himself.</p><p><a class="Link" href="https://chicago.suntimes.com/2016/11/18/18386589/four-charged-in-carjacking-of-man-taunted-with-don-t-vote-trump" target="_blank" >Wilcox made news in 2016, </a>a day after the Presidential election when he was pulled from a vehicle on the city's West Side as attackers allegedly yelled 'You voted Trump?' </p><p>Court records show that Wilcox was accused of murder in 1986, a charge that was later changed to manslaughter.
