<p>A man who was arrested at O'Hare International Airport apparently trying to board a flight is facing first-degree murder charges for stabbing a woman to death over the weekend in the Albany Park neighborhood, according to Chicago police and sources. </p><p>Ankur Patel, 31, is accused of stabbing a 32-year-old woman inside an apartment in the <a class="Link" href="https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/08/09/woman-fatally-stabbed-albany-park" target="_blank" >4800 block of North Avers Avenue</a> around 1:45 a.m. Sunday, Chicago police said.</p><p>The woman, whose name hasn’t been released, was found unresponsive in the apartment hallway next to the bathroom, according to a police report obtained by the Sun-Times. She suffered a stab wound in the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.</p><p>Patel was arrested while going through security at O'Hare International Airport nine hours after the incident happened, according to police and sources.</p><p>Patel was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.</p>
