ICE lodges detainer for illegal immigrant accused of trying to disarm Virginia police officer

ICE has placed a detainer on a Honduran man accused of trying to take a police officer's gun in Fairfax County, Virginia. The man, Nehemia Noel Fuentes-Banegas, was reported to have left a home in Annandale after an argument while carrying two knives. Officers say he ambushed a police officer and attempted to disarm him. ICE is asking the county not to release him while immigration proceedings continue.
