Carter is the first of three suspects in Brooks' alleged attack to stand trial.Brooks, a 19-year-old LSU student at the time, was allegedly gang-raped after a night out in 2023, then struck and killed by a car.Court records reviewed by Fox News Digital show that the judge's son, 46-year-old Nelson Taylor, was convicted of several counts of forcible rape in 1997.
