The cost of airfare is out of this world. Airline fares have skyrocketed 2.2% just from last month, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). In fact, prices were up a whopping 26% in June just from the previous year. The price hikes can be attributed to a few factors: rising fuel costs from the war with Iran, labor and pilot shortages, supply chain bottlenecks and high demand from a red-hot summer.
